Rage Against the Machine’s raw sounds from their first world tour are now available on streaming platforms. Released on September 27, “Live On Tour 1993” takes fans back to the band’s intense early days. This follows the vinyl release in April for Record Store Day and the band’s recent induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
“In 1993, Rage Against The Machine were hungry, angry, and on tour. ‘Live On Tour 1993’ captures a band at its peak, just about to be discovered by the world. These untouched recordings from that tour are now available on vinyl and streaming,” the band shared.
The album features ten powerful tracks, each recorded at a different stop on their 1993 tour. It kicks off with “Bombtrack” from Washington, D.C., followed by Orlando’s version of “Killing In The Name” and Atlanta’s “Take The Power Back.” These recordings come straight from the soundboard, with no studio edits.
The music spans two continents, including shows in Paris and Milan, alongside North American stops. The raw energy resonates from Toronto to San Francisco. Gainesville’s “Settle For Nothing” hits hard, while Paris brings “Bullet In The Head” to life. Toronto’s “Know Your Enemy” shows no mercy, and Philly’s “Wake Up” shakes the walls. Milan’s “Fistful Of Steel” delivers a punch, San Francisco offers “Township Rebellion,” and Chicago’s “Freedom” wraps it all up.
Now, fans can stream these historic performances on major platforms. From February to April 1993, the band rocked eight U.S. cities, one in Canada, and two in Europe. Each track is packed with pure energy, making this a must-listen for any music lover.
