Ireland’s consumer watchdog has brought two charges against the ticketing company following an investigation into sales for 2025 Croke Park shows.
Ireland’s Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has charged Ticketline Unlimited Company, trading as Ticketmaster, with two violations of the Consumer Protection Act over ticket sales for Oasis’s 2025 concerts at Croke Park in Dublin. The charges allege that the company engaged in misleading commercial practices regarding “platinum tickets” and failed to provide clear, timely material information about ticket prices when tickets went on sale on Aug. 31, 2024.
During a hearing at Dublin District Court, defense attorney Remy Farrell SC stated that Ticketmaster plans to fully contest the charges in a three- to four-day case involving around a dozen witnesses and expert evidence. Judge Anthony Halpin adjourned the case for mention until Oct. 5, and a Ticketmaster spokesperson declined further comment while the matter is before the court.
