Incubus Adds Eight ‘Morning View’ Songs to Rocksmith+ for Album’s 25th Anniversary

Incubus marked 25 years since the album Morning View by putting eight of its songs on Rocksmith+. Every song comes with bass, lead guitar, and chord chart arrangements. That adds up to 24 arrangements in all.

The songs are “Just a Phase,” “11 am,” “Blood on the Ground,” “Warning,” “Echo,” “Have You Ever,” “Under My Umbrella,” and “Aqueous Transmission.” Availability may change from one region to the next, according to Ubisoft.

The band recorded Morning View in a rented house in Malibu and released it in 2001.

“Aqueous Transmission” shows how that house shaped the sound. Mike Einziger plays the pipa, a traditional Chinese lute, in place of a guitar. The last section is a recording of frogs outside the house.

Rocksmith+ is a music learning app from Ubisoft for guitar, bass, and piano. Its songs are arranged note for note from the original recordings, and the app follows what a player does in real time as they learn.

Anyone can try Rocksmith+ for free, with limited features. The mobile app is available on iOS and Android, and the game also runs on PS5, PS4, or PC. PC players can find it in the Ubisoft Store.

New mobile users who sign up for a 12-month subscription also get a free seven-day trial. It includes all songs and lessons. The full song library holds more music from other artists.
