Rob Zombie and his film reboot of The Munsters is reportedly going to find a streaming home via NBC’s Peacock.

Per horror news website Bloody Disgusting, “‘The Munsters’ is actually going to be a Peacock original/exclusive that will open day-and-date in theaters via Universal Pictures/UPHE, similar to what Warner Bros. is doing with HBO Max.”

The outlet also reports the film is set to begin production in May in Budapest and will have a budget between $30-$40 million.

As we previously reported, Zombie has been tapped by Universal Pictures to write and direct the film reboot. The project will feature Zombie’s wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, cast as Lily Munster. No other casting choices or speculations have been reported.

The Munsters aired on CBS for two seasons from September 1964 to May 1966. During that same time frame, ABC aired the similar style family sitcom The Addams Family.
