Death Cab for Cutie has just released a new song titled “Punching the Flowers.” This track is part of their upcoming album, I Built You a Tower. Frontman Ben Gibbard describes the song as exploring feelings of stagnation and the struggle of being trapped by what we know. He also touches on the consequences of stepping into the unknown.
You can check out the music video for “Punching the Flowers” on YouTube. I Built You a Tower, which follows their 2022 album Asphalt Meadows, will be available on June 5. The album also features the single “Riptides.”
Additionally, Death Cab for Cutie will kick off a U.S. tour in July, so fans can look forward to seeing them live soon!
