Primus has just dropped a new EP titled “A Handful of Nuggs.” This four-track collection features a new song called “The Ol’ Grizz” and a cover of Dio’s classic “Holy Diver,” featuring Puddles Pity Party. Fans will also find the previously released collaboration with Maynard James Keenan, “Little Lord Fentanyl,” along with a live version of “Duchess (And the Proverbial Mind Spread).”
“A Handful of Nuggs” is available now on digital platforms and will be released on vinyl on July 22. To celebrate the release, Primus is kicking off a U.S. tour on May 20 in Reno, Nevada. The tour will also showcase two of frontman Les Claypool’s other projects, The Claypool Lennon Delirium and the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade. The Claypool Lennon Delirium recently released a new album called “The Great Parrot-Ox and the Golden Egg of Empathy” earlier this month.
