Sessanta v2.0: Maynard’s Multiverse Unites in Philadelphia

The “Sessanta V2.0” tour made a memorable stop at Philadelphia’s TD Pavilion at the Mann on May 15, 2025, delivering a genre-defying performance by A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer. This collaborative event, conceptualized by Maynard James Keenan, featured a rotating setlist that seamlessly blended the distinct styles of each band into a cohesive and immersive experience.

The evening commenced with A Perfect Circle’s haunting “The Package,” setting a contemplative tone that was soon contrasted by Primus’s energetic renditions of “Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers” and “Too Many Puppies.” Puscifer added their unique flair with tracks like “Horizons” and “Indigo Children,” showcasing their eclectic sound. The bands continued to alternate, with standout performances including Primus’s “Jerry Was a Race Car Driver,” Puscifer’s “Bullet Train to Iowa,” and A Perfect Circle’s “The Outsider.” The show also featured collaborative pieces from the “Sessanta E.P.P.P.” EP, including A Perfect Circle’s “Kindred,” Puscifer’s “No Angel,” and Primus’s “Pablo’s Hippos,” culminating in a joint performance of Puscifer’s “Grand Canyon” .

The production was visually striking, with dynamic lighting and stage design enhancing the musical transitions. Each band member’s versatility was on display, particularly Keenan’s seamless shifts between his roles in A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. While the non-traditional format may have surprised some attendees expecting separate sets, the integrated approach offered a fresh and engaging concert experience.

Overall, the Philadelphia show exemplified the innovative spirit of “Sessanta V2.0,” providing fans with a unique opportunity to witness the synergy of three distinct bands in a single, fluid performance.
