The original members of Black Sabbath have paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne following his passing. His death comes just over two weeks after a huge all-star concert that featured his final solo performance and the last show with the original Black Sabbath lineup.
Tony Iommi expressed his shock and sadness, saying, “I just can’t believe it! My dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park. It’s heartbreaking news, and I can’t find the words. There will never be another like him. Geezer, Bill, and I have lost our brother.” He added, “My thoughts go out to Sharon and the entire Osbourne family. Rest in peace, Oz.”
Geezer Butler shared his memories, saying, “Goodbye, dear friend. Thanks for all those years—we had some great fun. Four kids from Aston—who would have thought? I’m so glad we got to do it one last time back in Aston. Love you.”
Bill Ward reflected on their bond, writing, “Where will I find you now? In the memories, our unspoken embraces, our missed phone calls. You’re forever in my heart. My deepest condolences to Sharon and the family. RIP. Sincere regrets to all the fans. Never goodbye. Thank you forever.”
