Stone Temple Pilots to Perform Epic Nine-Minute Medley at Raiders Game

On December 7, Stone Temple Pilots (STP) will perform a nine-minute halftime set at Allegiant Stadium during the Las Vegas Raiders game against the Denver Broncos. Guitarist Dean DeLeo shared on Dean Delray’s Let There Be Talk podcast that the band is focusing on weekend shows and special events for the rest of the year. “We’re gonna do a little halftime event at the Raiders game. It won’t be televised, but we’ll go live to the fans in attendance,” he said.

DeLeo is carefully planning the show’s structure, working on the musical flow and transitions between songs with his bandmates. The group still features three founding members: bassist Robert DeLeo, Dean DeLeo, and drummer Eric Kretz. Lead singer Jeff Gutt joined the band after winning a talent search, bringing new energy to their music.

Robert DeLeo has spoken out against music industry labels, stating that the band never chose a specific name or genre for their sound. He believes that terms like grunge often serve record companies more than the artists themselves. Their latest album, Perdida, released in 2020, was their first acoustic project, showcasing their versatility. Gutt made his debut on their self-titled seventh album in 2018, following the deaths of original singer Scott Weiland in 2015 and Chester Bennington in 2017, both of whom left a significant mark on the band’s history.

This December performance will be STP’s first-ever medley, adding a special twist to their three decades of live shows. Fans can look forward to this unique halftime spectacle as they wrap up 2025 with a bang.
